Anyone that can breathe can do yoga. You don’t have to be young, thin & flexible.
Somewhere along the line, the purpose of yoga got very unclear. The illusion that a certain stereotype of a person is all that it is suitable for got popularised.
In our wellness membership we connect with the roots & origin of yoga. Yoga means to unite, join or yoke.
Our teaching goes deeper than just getting into postures or moving quickly through sequences. Every session we connect with our breath, our purpose for being on the mat & move from there.
We offer 2 live weekly sessions.
Hatha Yoga - meaning yin/yang or sun/moon. This style of yoga involves some movement & some stillness in postures. We are looking for a balance between being sedentary & hyperactive.
This 60 minute session can build strength, confidence, flexibility & awareness.
Chill Yoga - this evening session is a 40 minute floor based practice designed to relax the body & mind ready for rest or sleep.
We incorporate breathing techniques, simple shapes & meditation that calms the nervous system & unwinds the body.
All sessions are invites to show up live with camera on or off or catch the recording in your own time.
We work with the idea of universal design - classes that anyone can enjoy, no matter of experience or body type.
If you have an established practice or are working with a particular set of circumstances/conditions, then a personalised approach may be a good place to connect.
